Care Guide
Caring for your Isabel Manns Item
We recommend using a trusted, experienced dry cleaner for all silk garments. Professional care is the safest way to preserve colour, structure, and finish.
- Silk Items: Dry clean only. Hand washing may cause fading or affect the finish of the fabric.
- Reversible Items: Please inform your dry cleaner that the garment is reversible. For tops you may wish to request that hems are pressed flat.
- Silk Bamboo: Machine wash on a delicate, cold cycle. Do not tumble dry; hang it to air dry. Use a low-heat iron or steamer if required.
- Silk Cotton: Dry clean to preserve colour and shine.
If you are looking for a trusted dry cleaner, we have worked for several years with Aristocrat Dry Cleaners, 8 New Quebec Street, London (opposite our shop). They are experienced in handling our reversible clothing and silk fabrics. Please note that we are not responsible for services carried out by third parties.
Stain guidance:
Where possible, we recommend consulting a professional dry cleaner before attempting to treat stains yourself.
If you do choose to treat a mark at home, the following general guidance may help. Always test on an inconspicuous area first and proceed with caution.
Grease: Lightly apply talcum powder and allow it to sit before gently brushing away. Professional cleaning is recommended as soon as possible.
Make-up stains: Gently dab (do not rub) with a clean cloth slightly dampened with lukewarm water and a small amount of mild soap.
Wine or coffee stains: Blot immediately with a clean cloth to absorb excess liquid. Avoid rubbing. Seek professional cleaning as soon as possible.
Perspiration: Professional cleaning is recommended, particularly for delicate silks.
Please note that the above information is provided as general guidance only. We cannot guarantee stain removal or accept responsibility for damage caused by at-home treatments. Professional cleaning is always advised for delicate fabrics.
