Silk Items: Dry clean to maintain colour and shine, as hand washing may cause fading.

Reversible Items: Inform your dry cleaner if the item is reversible. For tops, please ask for the hem to be ironed flat on both sides.

Silk Bamboo: Machine wash on a delicate, cold cycle. Do not use the tumble dryer; hang it to air dry. Use a low-heat iron or steamer for any possible remaining creases.

Silk Cotton: Dry clean to preserve the colour and shine. 

 

We have been working with Aristocrat Dry Cleaners on 8 New Quebec Street, London (opposite our shop) for a few years now and we highly recommend them. Removing stains:

Although there are methods to remove stains which we have outlined below, a reliable dry cleaner who has knowledge of certain stain removal methods would be recommended to use first.

Grease: As long as this method is applied right away you can use baby powder and let it sit for at least 1 hour and then brush it off with a dry cloth. This process is recommended to be done before it is given to a dry cleaner.

Make-up stains: Use a clean cloth that is damp with warm water and mild soup and dab rather than rub. 

Wine or coffee stains: First absorb the excess liquid with a clean cloth and do not rub. Then, use a clean cloth that is damp with warm water and a few drops of white vinegar. Rinse it with clean water and dab clean. 

Sweat stains: You can apply lemon juice onto the stain and leave it for approximately 5 minutes. Then, rinse the stain with warm water. 

For all of these processes we recommended to still give the garment to a dry cleaner afterwards.
